Through first class instruction and accountability, DFW Post Grad is designed for unsigned high school seniors and college transfers to develop their skillset in all areas of the game while preparing them for life as a college baseball player.

2024/2025 Recruiting Roadmap

Fall & Spring Game Schedule

  • DFW Post Grad players play a 20 game Fall season and a 50 game Spring season against colleges representing the NJCAA, NCAA, NAIA and NCCAA across Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

Scout Day: Mid November

  • 15-20 college programs will be in attendance to watch our players go through a pro style workout to showcase each individual player

  • Recruiting video platform that gives each player a profile and video library

Physical on-field development

  • Practice Monday-Saturday every week at Oak Grove Park and Top Prospect Academy turf facilities in Grapevine

  • Prepare players for the college game and improve skills relating to fielding, hitting for average, hitting for power, running speed, and throwing velocity/accuracy

  • Improve on each player’s mental approach to the game through mental skills training, visualization and breathing exercises, etc.

Strength Development: APE Fitness & Performance

  • Thorough strength and conditioning program at APE Fitness & Performance with some of the best strength coaches in the business

  • Weight-lifting implementation including mobility and movement mechanics, speed and power development and arm care routines with an emphasis on consistency

  • Fall programming will be setup to ensure proper preparation for the Spring season where players will be playing a full college schedule.

  • Spring programming will have an emphasis on in-season training, focusing on total body lifts that will maintain the strength and power while controlling intensity to keep players healthy long-term

  • Arm-care programming is a mixture of plyo ball throwing routines, water bag routines, pvc pipe drills, long toss, etc.

Player Facilities & Housing

Top Prospect Academy:

TPA is located in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex five minutes from DFW Airport. A state-of-the-art facility including a 13,000 square foot indoor with more than 10 batting cages, multiple bullpen mounds, arm care area with double plyo wall, and plenty of space for DFW Post Grad to conduct full indoor practices.

APE Fitness & Performance:

Ape Fitness & Performance is a top-of-the-line strength and conditioning facility with some of the best s/c coaches in the business having worked with multiple MLB, minor league and collegiate athletes to help fine tune their movement mechanics optimizing on field performance while minimizing the risk of injuries. APE is owned and operated by Chris Brainard who is also the lead strength coach who works with our athletes daily.

Oak Grove Park: City of Grapevine

The home field of DFW Post Grad is Oak Grove Park located in Grapevine, Texas just off of Lake Grapevine. We will utilize this facility for practices, scrimmages, and home games.

Player Housing:

DFW Post Grad owns multiple team houses in the DFW metroplex to allow for housing of players at a flat monthly rate. Each house comes fully furnished with a coach living on site as well to ensure rules and regulations are followed. Houses are located in Trophy Club, TX.

DFW Post Grad is not responsible for lost eligibility/clock years for college players! NJCAA, NCAA, NAIA eligibility rules are subject to change. Players play at their own risk!
